Born in Arkansas she grew up at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of a very troubled background. She was a lot of her childhood taking care of Frankie. Frankie suffered from an illness called polio. As a teenager, she had many problems with her mother. Sheryl claims that her mom had a time when she stabbed her father because he was too close. Sheryl joined up the military soon after she graduated her college. Her passions were in the field of comedy. She became the very first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV career when she was regularly performing at The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. She has appeared as a host on The Talk since 2011.
